Skylight School Students appeal People for Environment Conservation

Tehsildar Pampore, Mohammad Maqbool Ahangar, planting a tree sapling along with students of Sky Light Hr Sec School in Tehsil office premises of Pampore on Wednesday.

Sensitizing general public about the importance of safeguarding environment for future generations, Sky Light Higher Secondary School Pampore Wednesday held plantation drive at different places in Saffron town of Pampore.

Different species of trees at were planted across the town while a number of Deodar trees were planted in Tehsil office Pampore.

As per a statement issued to CNS the school authorities said that Tehsildar Pampore and Sub-Inspector police station Pampore participated in the plantation drive trees along with the students of the school.

“A good number of people in the Tehsil office as well as the officers and officials of the Revenue Deptt hailed the enthusiastic approach and concern regarding the preservation of our environment by planting of trees by the young students of the school,” the statement said.

While planting trees, the students appealed public at various places to ensure “planting a tree by every soul” by them.

On this occasion, Tehsildar Pampore Mohammad Maqbool Ahangar highlighted “the importance of trees in preservation of the fragile environment”.

He impressed upon the students as well as the local populace to plant trees in abundance where over possible as “trees sustain human life by emanating oxygen”.
