Drug Peddler Held in Baramulla, 06 Kilograms Charas Recovered

Baramulla Police has arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered Charas from his possession.

Baramulla Police during a routine checking at Kanispora area observed suspicious movement of two young men. Police party cautioned them to stop which they ignored and started running.

Police party managed to arrest one of them identified as Shakeel Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani resident of Delina and recovered three Kilograms of Charas from him while another identified as Rafiq Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani resident of Delina managed to escape from the spot but left a bag on road. On search of the bag three more kilograms of Charas were recovered. Police has launched manhunt to nab him.

It is pertinent to mention that over the past few months 18 notorious drug peddlers involved in multiple cases of drug trafficking across Baramulla District have been apprehended and detained under the stringent J&K PIT-NDPS Act.
