Show Political Will, Vision to Take Bold Decisions: Hurriyat (m) tells Indo-Pak

All Parties Hurriyat Conference (m) Executive Council, meeting chaired by its Chairperson, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq observed that for the peaceful atmosphere of South Asia and for ending terror from the region, resolving disputes between the nations of the region was a necessary pre-requisite.

APHC-m met at its Rajbagh headquarter today.

Stating that Indian and Pakistani leadership should take their responsibility of creating such an atmosphere which would help resolve all disputes between the two countries including the core issue of Kashmir, the Hurriyat leaders called upon them to show political will and vision to take bold decisions.

“The APHC Executive Council meet reiterated that the conglomerate stands for cordial relationship between India and Pakistan but believes that for lasting such ties it was imperative upon both the countries to take steps for resolving all outstanding issues between them including the vexed issue of Kashmir,” the spokesperson of the amalgam said in a statement this evening.

Condemning the terrorist attacks in Lahore, Pakistan, the meeting also termed it as a barbaric act which had led to the killing of innocent people and said, “such occurrences in Pakistan would not only harm the peace in that country but would also have far reaching consequences for the security and stability of the entire South Asia.”

After the conclusion of the Executive Council meet, a prayer meeting led by the APHC-m Chairperson was held at the Hurriyat headquarters in which glowing tributes were paid to the top resistance leaders Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Shabir Sidiq, Shaheed Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, “the martyrs of Hazratbal and all the martyrs of Kashmir’s resistance movement”.

Earlier, senior Hurriyat leader Javed Ahmad Mir led a high-level Hurriyat delegation to the Eidgah where “they held special prayers and Fateh Khawani for the martyred leaders and Hazratbal martyrs and paid glowing tributes to them,” the spokesperson added.
