The Non-Resident Kashmiris living in the United Kingdom have established a “Kashmir Secretariat” to keep the international community aware about the “human rights situation in Kashmir”.
“The secretariat will also advance the genuine aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir rising above the party considerations,” radio Pakistan reported on Monday.
Speaking to the inaugural ceremony, Chief patron of Kashmir Concern Prof Nazir Ahmed Shawl highlighted the “prevailing political situation” in Kashmir and “pleaded that we the Kashmiri diaspora living in UK have an obligation to highlight the Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination”.
