Boniyar Ration Store Keepers Alleged of Resorting to ‘Unfair Means’

People of Chalaan village in North Kashmir’s Boniyar area took to streets on Wednesday, protesting against the “unfair” distribution of ration.

Reports reaching here said that scores of Chalaan residents blocked Boniyar-Uri road demanding action against the ration store keepers.

“The ration depot store keepers are resorting to unfair means and this has been going on for many months now,” alleged a local, “we demand strict action against them and immediate transfer of those accused.”

If sources are to be believed, the residents said that “they were ready to receive ration according to NFSA” but the employees accused to “unfair means must be taken to task”.

“The SHO concerned intervened and the protestors were assured that proper action will be taken if the complaints were found true,” the local sources said.

Notably, the intense protests were reported across valley against the implementation of NFSA.
