October 27, 1947 is the “day of mourning” for the people of Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Wednesday said on Wednesday.
“October 27 is the day when armed occupational forces landed in Kashmir against the wishes of Kashmiri people,” a statement issued by DeM said, “the people of Jammu and Kashmir were neither asked for their view about forced control on that day nor are their wishes and aspirations respected today.”
“The so-called accession of Maharaja Hari Singh with India is based on fraud and deception. Maharaja had never got such mandate from the people of the state,” the spokesperson of the all-women resistance group said.
The DeM spokesperson said, “the then leadership of India did a conspiracy and the hypocrites of Kashmir played a collaborators’ role to make the plans of India a success. Since then India has been controlling our land on military might and by befooling the world community.”
Meanwhile, the secretary general of DeM, Nahida Nasreen asked people to “follow the program of resistance leadership for October 27 in letter and spirit”.
“People should assemble outside the assembly and attend the First Resistance Assembly. People should also raise black flags on roof-tops, shops and vehicles,” she said.
