#Day113: Bandipora Witnesses Early Morning Clashes Despite Curfew

Intense clashes broke out in between youth and forces in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday morning.

Reports said that hundreds of youth defied curfew imposed in Kaloosa area of the district early morning and staged demonstrations mid pro-freedom and anti-India sloganeering.

“The police and paramilitary forces fired dozens of teargas and sound shells on protestors who pelted stones,” local sources said.

They added on Friday the area witnessed intense clashes and forces resorted to ransacking of private properties this morning.

“They broke window panes and damaged property worth lakhs of rupees in the area,” residents said.

“The forces announced imposition of curfew around 7 AM,” they informed, “a boundary wall and a main gate were demolished of some residential houses.”
