Police destroying the Charas cultivation in south Kashmir

Cannabis is making movement in J&K as it is harvest time. Railway police have recovered a cache and arrested a person, according to a statement.
On October 28, GRP Jammu arrested a person and recovered Cannabis (Ganja) from his possession. During routine track checking at KM 95.2 near FCI Godown, a police team intercepted a person and during physical checking 10 packets (10 Kg) of Cannabis (Ganja) was recovered from his possession.
Rajinder Gupta SSP has identified the accused as Chhotu Sah S/O Suresh Sah R/O Ram Burn District Vaishali (Bihar). The accused was arrested on the spot and the drugs seized. The arrest and recovery was made by a team led by SHO P/S GRP Jammu. It is pertinent to mention that this is third such recovery by Railway Police Jammu because of enhanced checking and frisking
In this regard, a case under FIR No 20/2016 under Sections 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S GRP Jammu and the investigation is going on. There is a likelihood of more arrests in this case.
