Geelani Calls for Shutdown in Sopore on Jan 06

Hurriyat G chairman on Sunday called for a complete shutdown in Sopore on January 06 to commemorate the killing of 55 persons in Jan 06, 1993 massacre, a party statement said.

“There will be a complete shutdown in Sopore on January 06 to remember those killed by forces on January 06, 1993,” the statement said.

“After mid-day prayers same day, protests and a common gathering shall be held at Jamia Masjid, Sopore,” the statement said.

“Geelani called on international community to use their influence in getting justice to the victims,” the statement added.
