Governor NN Vohra led Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued an order by virtue of which domestic tourists would now be permitted to visit places beyond Panamik up to Warshi including Yarma-Gompa and Yarma-Gonboo Monastery in Ladakh region, an official statement said on Thursday.
“The opening of these areas would give a boost to the socio-economic development in these remote areas of the region,” the statement said.
It is pertinent to mention here that keeping in view vast tourism potential, over the years the Ladakh has emerged as an important tourist destination and many areas of Ladakh region have been opened for tourism purpose so far, which has substantially expanded the opportunities for creation of employment to the locals.
