Continuing its drive against encroachments, Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) with the assistance of Revenue, Police and Gulmarg Municipal Committee Tuesday demolished a number of illegal structures at the famous ski resort and took possession of over 30 kanals of Government property.
In compliance to the High Court orders passed on 22/09/2016 in PIL No: 14/2012, the GDA also sealed three illegal structures at Gulmarg which were sealed for violation, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The hoteliers were advised to fence their leased land which is being demarcated by the Revenue authorities.
Chief Executive GDA said hoteliers/lessees were further advised not to encroach upon the Government land and the encroachment, if any, shall be demolished, besides initiating criminal action against them.
He said demolition drive shall continue till all the encroachers are evicted from the Government property.
