One army soldier was killed while another was injured when suspected militants fired upon army in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Srinagar based defence spokesperson, Rakesh Kalia, told Kashmir Life, “militants tried to infiltrate (into this side of Kashmir) but our men retaliated.”
“Militants opened fire upon our party in which one soldier was killed and another was injured,” Kalia added.
However, Kalia, did not reveal the identity of the slain army soldier and the injured one.
“Search operation is on,” he added.
