Awami Ittehad Party chief and independent lawmaker Er Rasheed appealed people to vote for AIP in the upcoming assembly by-election for Islamabad constituency.

Immediately after Er Rasheed and Advocate Mujeeb-ur-Rehman filed their nomination papers, Er Rasheed led a rally from DC Office to Lal-Chowk where people in large numbers joined the rally, a statement issued by the party here read.

“Addressing the rally in the heart of Islamabad town at historic Lalchowk Er Rasheed asked people not only to show Mehbooba Mufti her right place by showing backdoor but also reject NC and Congress, as all these parties have acted as collaborators and stooges of New Delhi,” the statement added.

Rasheed said, “While every Kashmiri cries that Mehbooba has led down the majority community of the state and is working as B-Team of Sang Parivar, masses of Islamabad need to show maturity and teach her a befitting lesson. In fact it is not Mehbooba vs AIP but RSS’s anti-Muslim agenda, congress’s history of broken promises and NC’s dual character that AIP is fighting against.”

Rasheed added that the election is a referendum between Nagpur and Kashmir and let people of Islamabad discharge their duties towards their mother land.

He said that rough roads, flopped drainage and arrogant and defunct administration have become the face of historic Islamabad town during last 20 years.
