The Pakistani Lady has finally found “ray of hope” in Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti so that she is able to fly back to Rawalpindi to see her ailing father.

Married to a Kashmiri, Iram Sayar came to Kashmir with her husband through rehabilitation policy for those who had shun arms and wanted to return to their homes on this side of Kashmir.

However, when the duo reached Nepal, Iram’s Passport was seized and since then she is unable to move outside J&K.

The issue was raised by PDP’s Wachi Lawmaker, Adv Aijaz Mir, in the on-going session of Legislative Assembly who informed the Lower House about “the struggle of Iram to meet her father who is lying on death bed”.

After the issue came to her notice, sources revealed, Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti invited Iram Sayar, her husband and their minor 7 year child to meet her at civil secretariat today. The duo is resident of Nadigam Shopian.

Sources said that Iram Sayar shall be meeting Ms Mehbooba Mufti at 2 PM today with the plea to allow her to travel to Pakistan to see her ailing father at Rawalpindi.

Iram had also written a letter to CM detailing about the problems she was facing on this side of Kashmir. Her husband, Sayar Ahmad, had crossed over to PaK in 1990s for arms training.

Interestingly, last year the government had also issued a three-month valid passport to Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani who wanted to visit his ailing daughter in Saudi Arabia but later the plan was dropped by his family.
