Now, MEA says, ‘Russia Based Kashmiri Businessman’s Dead Body Being Flown Home Tomorrow’

The Kashmiri businessman’s body who succumbed to injuries after he was attacked by goons in Russia will be flown to Srinagar tomorrow.

Sushma Swaraj, External Affiars minister tweeted, “We are bringing mortal remains of Yasir from Russia by AI 825 reaching Srinagar at 1155 hrs on 12th March 2016.”

Identified as Mohammad Yasir, he was reportedly attacked by some goons in Russia on Tuesday and went into coma after sustaining critical injuries. He later succumbed to injuries in a local hospital.

Notably, a Srinagar based newspaper quoting family members of Yasir wrote, “Yasir is still alive, but critical.” Thus negating the earlier statement of Swaraj in which she had confirmed Yasir’s death.
