Heavy Rains: Police Asked to Remain Alert, Co-ordinate with Civil Administration

AlertIn the wake of predictions of heavy rains in the State and snow fall in some areas, Director General of Police (DGP), Rajendra Kumar Friday put police administration on alert in the State.

Rajendra, in a communiqué from Police Headquarters (PHQ) Friday has directed all Police formations including SDRF, Executive and Armed Police to be vigilant and act quickly in case of any eventuality. He has directed all Range and District officers to work in closed coordination with the civil administration and take all precautionary measures, particularly in the far-flung area for the safety of the people. “Ensure road connectivity in the remote areas to ease the difficulties of the people,” Rajendra said.

DGP has asked to gear up the SDRF teams with required equipment for any rapid action. Communication network shall also be geared up to ensure coordination among different formation for which Police Control Rooms shall function round the clock. (KNS)
