Tral youth succumb to Swine Flu

The qualified son of a cop died on Saturday after getting infected by H1N1 influenza virus at SMHS Hospital Srinagar.


Nasarullah Wani (26) son of police inspector Ghulam Nabi, resident of Devar Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district was admitted at SMHS Hospital on Friday afternoon.


“He was suffering from H1N1 influnza and from last 24 years Wani was on life supporting system. He died due to multiple organ failure,” a doctor on condition of anonymity told CNS.


Panic gripped in Tral town after the news about the death of the youth spread there. “The deceased had done MA. M.Ed in English and was a talented cricketer,” his neighbour said.
