In wake of the incessant rains and forecast for more downpour, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone has appealed people living adjacent to river banks to move towards safer places.
In his appeal Dr Farooq Lone said that there is no need to panic as the the water is still two feet below the prescribed level.
While talking about the people who don’t have option to stay, Dr Lone said, “for those who have no place to go, we have kept open Sanant Nagar Marriage Hall and EDI Pampore for them”.
He further said that all arrangements have been kept in place there, and also informed that administration was alive to the situation and all measures required to deal with situation have been put in place.
