In an official communiqué from IG Traffic Jammu the general public is informed that the Srinagar-Jammu Highway shall remain closed on March 28, 2015 and no movement of vehicular traffic, whatsoever, either from Jammu or Valley shall be allowed on the highway.
This will be effective from 1500 hours of March 27, 2015, the communiqué said.
The decision has been taken to carry out the repair of portion of road at Magarkote that has sunk and other bottlenecks which could not be addressed earlier by the concerned authority due to continuous flow of traffic on the highway after it was temporally restored for one way traffic.
