Flood Declared In Srinagar

SRINAGAR

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Farooq A Lone said they have declared flood situation in Srinagar as the water level in Jhelum reached 17.90 ft at 3 am. The level at Sangham is barely 1.5 ft from the danger mark, a position beyond floods.

While the raining has temporarly stopped in central Kashmir, it is heavily snowing in south Kashmir, reports said.

Officials saud there has not been any breach anywhere in Jhelum, especially in Srinagar.
