While presenting his maiden Budget in JK Assembly Sunday, Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu announced the abolishment of archaic water tax, Aniyana.
Dr Drabu said that the move has been taken as the tax generates very dismal revenue as compared to the cost it involves during collecting it.
“Its collections are petty as compared to the costs going into its collection.”
Dr Drabu who has abandoned the traditional briefcase carried by finance minister has already created a lot of expectation in public with his maiden Budget.
