Newly elected state Congress President Ghulam Ahmad Mir Saturday termed the government’s decision to revoke its order on state flag as unfortunate.
Talking to local news gatherer he said, “Why did government issue an order first and then revoked it. It shows communication gap within the government.”
“The decision is an insult to the flag of the state,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh told reporters in Jammu that it (revoking the order) is a government decision. “Some officers had issued the order without taking the government into confidence. When government saw the order it was revoked,” he said.
