Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora has been arrested and sent to central Jail for allegedly assaulting MLA elect Bandipora, Usman Majid.
ARTO, Bandipora Tariq Ahmed Bhat has few days before allegedly assaulted Usman Majid in his office chamber.
Officials while confirming the arrest said that following the complaint by MLA Bandipora about being assaulted by ARTO, the accused was arrested by police and a case was registered against him.
“The accused ARTO was today sent to central Jail”, official sources said.
