The Sonamarg-Drass road of the Srinagar-Leh highway was closed for traffic on Tuesday after a landslide hit the road, resulting in the suspension of the traffic movement.
Reports said that the traffic movement was suspended soon after a massive landslide hit the Sonamarg-Drass stretch of the highway near Shaitan Nallah today afternoon.
SHO police station Drass Manzoor Hussain told Kashmir Life that the traffic has been suspended on Srinagar-Leh highway due to landslide at Shaitani Nallah Zojiila. “The men and machinery have been pressed into service to clear the road,” he said.
