Minister for health and medical education Jammu and Kashmir, Dr D K Manyal on Monday paid a surprise visit to JLNM Hospital Rainawari, the apex hospital of Directorate of health services, Kashmir (DHSK).
The Minister inspected various sections of the hospital and interacted with OPD and IPD patients and their attendants.
He took a keen interest in the functioning and healthcare delivery of causality and a Gynae section of the hospital.
He sought from the patients whether the services provided by the government are being given to them as per the laid norms. The Minister while taking stock of the status of dialysis centre at JLNM, emphasized the Hospital Administration for its speedy completion.
He further said that the aim of the government is to provide hassle-free treatment facilities to the patients in the Government health institutions.
The Minister was accompanied by Director General Health Services, Dr Saleem ur Rehman and Project Director JKSACS, Dr Mushtaq Pathan. The Director-General apprised the minister about the level of healthcare services in terms of various specialties being provided to the patients. The Minister expressed satisfaction with the work and conduct of the Hospital & appreciated the health personnel & hospital administrator Dr Samina Mufti.
Later the Minister took a detailed review of Amarnath Ji Yatra 2018 wherein the Director General briefed him about the ongoing arrangements. The minister laid stress for providing all necessary health care facilities to the pilgrims.
Pertinently, it is to mention that Amarnath Ji Yatra is going to commence from June 28, 2018.
