Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chief Muhammad Yasin Malik on Friday staged a peaceful protest against the BJP leaders who supported Deepak Khajuria, a 28-year-old special police officer, accused of rape and murder of a minor girl in Hiranagar area of Kathua, Jammu.
Meanwhile, on JRL’s call, JKLF leaders and activists gathered at Maisuma Lal Chowk and protested against the shifting of many inmates to Jammu jails, rallies by political leaders in favour of the rapist and killer of innocent Muslim girl Asifa.
Led by JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal protesters including vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Siraj Ud din Mir, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Ashraf bin Salam, professor Javed , Meraj ud din Parray and others took out a protest rally from Madeena Chowk and marched towards Budshah Chowk. various JKLF leaders addressed protesters and strongly condemned the plight of inmates in and Jammu Muslims.
Terming the rallies by BJP leaders including Hindu Aikta Manch in Kuthwa Jammu in support of a rapist and murderer of innocent Asifa as utter shameful, JKLF chairman said that ironically from BJP assembly members to Indian PMO all are openly leading these shameful protests.
While condemning the ongoing military operations, crackdowns, search operations throughout Kashmir valley, JKLF chairman said that now Kashmiri youth and elders are being used a bonded labour by government forces. Reports about Kulgam youth being summoned to army camps and used as forced labour have actually refreshed us about old times of 90’s when this phenomenon was common in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, JKLF chairman has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of a Front activist Nazir Ahmad Khan of Gudar Kulgam, Ghulam Ahmad Zargar of Behrampora Rafiabad who was the brother of JKLF activist Muhammad Azeem Zargar and Mother of another JKLF well-wisher Akhtar Hussain Rah of Nowgam. JKLF leaders including advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Abdul Sattar, Assadullah Sheikh and Abdul Rashid Magloo. Malik visited the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with them. While praying for the heavenly abode of all the deceased JKLF leaders also prayed for the SabreJamil of their bereaved families.
