SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik on Monday held a condolence meet in solidarity with Mir Ahmad MIrpor who was recently killed during a firing in Pakistan administered Kashmir.
The spokesman said condolence meeting was attended by JKLF senior leaders and activists. While recalling the struggle and sacrifices of Mir Ahmad who was a close associate of ‘Baba I Qoum’ Muhammad Maqbool Butt, JKLF chairman said that his death has marked the closure of a glorious page of resistance and we pray for his heavenly abode.
The spokesman further added that Mir Ahmad was part of a group of resistance struggle along with Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Major Aman Ullah Khan and Aurangzeb who came to Kashmir in 1966 during which three of them got arrested and Aurangzeb was killed. He escaped from Srinagar central jail along with Maqbool Butt in 1969 and till death remained steadfast in the way of resistance against government forces.
During the meeting, Struggle and sacrifices of Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Shaheed-i-Hikmat Doctor Abdul Ahad Guru,Shaheed-i-Insaaf Advocate Jalil Indrabi and Shaheed-I-Sadaqat Syed Shabir Ahmad Sidiqi was also recalled and chairman JKLF in his address said that they sacrificed their today for the betterment of our tomorrow and this is why no Kashmiri can ever forget their struggle and sacrifices .
The spokesman quoted Malik saying that “nation is indebted to these great martyrs and we will leave no stone unturned in order to fulfil their sacred mission.”
Malik said that on the eve of the anniversary of Jalil Indrabi on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, Quran Khawani will be held at JKLF head office and at all other district offices. On March 2018, Friday, an anniversary of Ishfaq Majeed Wani and Shaheed Shabir Ahmad Sidiqi, a condolence meeting will be held at Mazar-I-Shuhada Eid Gah at 10: 00 a.m. The followers and well-wishers of martyrs will participate in the prayers meeting, the spokesman said.
On March 31, 2018, Saturday, on the eve of the anniversary of Doctor Abdul Ahad Guru, a blood donation camp will be held at Abi Guzar Srinagar.
