Wreath laying ceremony held at Pulwama for slain SPO

A wreath-laying ceremony led was held at Pulwama to pay homage to the slain SPO Mohammad Ashraf Mir resident of Mouchpona, Pulwama Imtiyaz Ahmad, a resident of Palpora Noorbagh, at present was residing at Chanapora, Srinagar, police spokesman said.

The ceremony was led by SSP Pulwama Aslam Choudhary. Addl SP  Pulwama  DSP DAR Pulwama and other officers of Police and Security forces and Jawans were also present on the occasion.

Ashraf, police said was killed by some unknown militants when they fired upon him near Muran Chowk Pulwama.

Sources said that Ashraf, a former militant was working as an SPO in Cargo, Srinagar and at present was residing at Chanapora in Srinagar.

Police has registered a case in this regard and investigations set into motion.
