Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have solved a kidnapping case of a girl in shortest possible time and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
A police spokesman said in a statement that Islamabad police has recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
“One person (name withheld) resident of Mattan approached Police Station Mattan with a written complaint, wherein it was stated that his niece (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one person namely Ishfaq Ahmad Kumar son of Gul Mohammed Kumar resident of Hogam Mattan,” the spokesman said.
A case FIR number 21/2018 under section 363-RPC was registered in Police Station Mattan and investigation was started, the spokesman added.
“After hectic efforts, the said girl was recovered from Hogam area of District Islamabad and the accused person was arrested,” he added.
After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her family members, the spokesman said.
