The Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) on Monday took suo-moto cognizance of news reports about the Srinagar boy who was found laying on road in Downtown Srinagar pumped with pellets last Friday.
Sources said that the chairperson of the commission has taken cognizance of the news reports and has directed the Medical Superintendent of SMHS hospital to provide medicine as well as treatment to the pellet victim free of cost.
16-year-old Zahid Mir from Zoonimar was injured when he was heading home after finishing his class 11th examination on Friday.
Police have ordered a probe to ascertain who pumped pellets into the body of Mir.
