Speaking on the ninth anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai attacks during a rally in poll-bound Gujarat’s Surat, union finance minister Arun Jaitley sent out stern warning to the militants operating in the valley.

Jaitley reports said  stated that whoever becomes the Lashkar commander will not last very long.

“Their condition is such that whoever becomes the Lashkar commander does not live for many days,” Jaitley is quoted to have said.

In his speech, he also lashed out at Pakistan for releasing Hafiz Saeed two days before India marked the anniversary of the 26/11 attack.

“Hafiz Saeed was released by Pakistan just two days before the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attack. In such cases, the other countries will stand in unison to oppose a country that backs terrorism. They will find no place in the global family,” he said.

Jaitley also said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved after a cash squeeze that was brought about due to the rollout of the demonetisation drive on November 8 last year.
