An encounter ensued between militants and forces in Futlipora Pakharpora village of central Kashmir’s district of Budgam early Thursday morning, reports said.
They said that on a tip off about the presence of militants, forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir launched a joint search operation in a village in Charar-e-Sharief in Budgam district early this morning.
The hiding militants fired upon the forces triggering a gunfight. The number of militants trapped was not immediately known.
