Kashmir: Temperatures drop below freezing point again, Leh shivers at minus 8.2 degree

After a slight improvement on Saturday, minimum temperatures has again dropped below the freezing point at most places in the Valley on Sunday.

The cold wave has gripped the valley

“Due to clear night sky, the minimum temperatures have again dropped below the freezing point at most places in the Valley. The weather is likely to remain mainly dry in the state during the next 24 hours,” a Met department official is quoted to have said.

At minus 8.2 degree, Leh was the coldest in J&K.

“The night’s lowest temperature was minus 0.2 in Srinagar city on Sunday. It was minus1.2 in Pahalgam and minus 3.6 in Gulmarg. Kargil recorded minus 4.6 as the minimum on Sunday,” said the official.
