#Day90: ‘Surgical Strikes’ Mere Eyewash Aimed to Divert World Attention, says UJC Chief

United Jihad Council (UJC) supremo and militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salah-ud-din on Thursday termed the “surgical strikes” by India against Pakistan as an “attempt” to divert the world attention from the “war crimes” being committed against the people of Kashmir.’

In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, Hizb spokesperson Saleem Hashmi while quoting Syed Salah-ud-din said, “by beating the trumpet of ‘surgical strikes’ and tensions along the Line of Control, the GoI in actually is striving to cover its crimes being committed against the people in Kashmir.”

“The Indian authorities must bear this thing in mind that tyranny vanishes when it reaches the zenith,” he added.

While condemning what he termed a crackdown against the people in Kashmir, the UJC chief also slammed the authorities over imprisoning DeM chief Aasiyeh Andrabi amid her falling health.

“The Hizb chief also appealed the rights bodies to raise voice against the atrocities being committed against the people in Valley. He also hailed Pakistan’s political landscape for raising the voice of Kashmiris and appealed them to accord concrete help to the people in Kashmir for achieving freedom,” read the statement.

It quoted Syed Salah-ud-din further as saying that Pakistan being a ‘prime party’ to Kashmir dispute is “duty bound” to extend all possible help to Kashmiris.
