Hundreds of women took out a pro-freedom rally in North Kashmir’s Sopore town on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports reaching here said that as soon as the Zuhr Namaz (mid-day prayers) ended, hundreds of women took out a pro-freedom march from Jamia Masjid which is on way to Khanqah.
Kashmir is witnessing uprising since July 09, 2016, a day after popular Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani was killed by forces in Bemdoora area of Islamabad district.
It is 88th straight of continuous shutdown in Kashmir.
In Srinagar’s Batamaloo, youths resorted to stone pelting when a student protest demonstration was stopped by men in uniform.
