Shopian village residents accuse army of ransacking, damaging properties

Srinagar

The residents of Nadpora in Shopian district of southern Kashmir Saturday alleged forces of ransacking several houses and breaking window panes of houses in the area.

Reports said that earlier a patrolling party of army was stoned in the area.

Eyewitness said that army also arrested one Ubaid Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Rather from the village.

As some stones were hurled on the forces by youth they entered in the courtyards of several houses and damaged property, they said.
