The restrictions imposed by the government in five police station areas of Srinagar city have led to traffic chaos in Downtown areas.
Forces have erected barricades and concertina wires at various entry and exit points towards the old city area of Downtown Srinagar.

The restrictions have forced vehicles coming from Hazratbal, Soura, Lalbazar and other several areas to take alternate routes, thereby, causing massive traffic congestion the city.
Motorists were seen driving through alleys to reach their destinations.
Pertinently, the traders community of Kashmir valley is observing a complete shutdown against the implementation of GST in the state.
Srinagar district administration ordered imposition of restrictions in five police station areas of Srinagar to foil any possible protests.
