Traders Hold Protests at Uri Trade Center

A group of 20-25 traders held a sit-in outside Trade Centre in Uri to protest against the Department of Industries and Commerce for not furnishing their registration documents permitting to undertake cross LoC trade, sources said.

The group of traders had earlier submitted applications requesting the department to issue them the registration documents but an inordinate delay forced them to come to streets, sources told Kashmir Life.

Later, the Sub Divisional Magistrate of Uri, Showkat Ahmad Rather arrived at the scene and spoke to the aggrieved party. Sources said he assured the protesters to hear their demands and promised action within a week.
