Crime Branch Jammu Arrests Notorious Cheat from Banglore

The Crime Branch Jammu on Thursday said that it has arrested a notorious cheater from Banglore accused of duping with 84 lakhs.
The accused has been identified as Jami Bala Ji, son of Late Ganaya, resident of Sosahandi Orissa at present Bangalore. A case under FIR number 26/2015 under section 420, 406–RPC was registered against him in Crime Branch, Jammu on 28 July.
Briefing facts of the case, a spokesman of the Crime Branch said that one Shravan Singh of Katra lodged a written complaint with Crime Branch Jammu alleging therein that he along with his family members came into contact with above named accused person for seeking admission in R.V College of Engineering Bangalore and for investing in some property at Bangalore. “The accused person promised to secure a seat under management quota in the said college for elder sister of complainant and accused person was accordingly paid more than `20.00 lacs through Bank and in cash. However, accused person did not fulfill his promise and duped the complainant of his hard earned money amounting to `84.00 lacs which the complainant deposited in the account of the accused person on different occasions,” the spokesman said.
SSP Crime Branch Mubassir Latifi said that during the course of investigation bank records were scanned, evidences were collected and after making hectic efforts the accused person was apprehended at Bangalore by Inspector Parvez Sajad and his team. It has also been found that the accused person had cheated various persons throughout the country on the pretext of arranging admissions in Engineering / Medical Colleges and had befooled the innocent and gullible people of their hard earned money.
