Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi Sunday strongly reacted to the statement of a Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Hind leader Ejaz Aslam wherein he has suggested a “surrender of Kashmiris before India”.

In a statement to KNS, Aasiya said, “the people of Jammu Kashmir have neither started the freedom movement with the permission or consultation of Indian Muslims nor do we need any consultation from them now when we have already sacrificed everything including millions of lives.”

“The nation has made a lot of sacrifices and cannot even think of looking backward.”

Terming the JeI Hind leader’s statement as “absurd and condemnable” Aasiya said, “so called Indian scholars and Ulema are, intentionally or unintentionally, busy helping Indians to continue with its oppression and cruelty in Kashmir.”

While referring to Indian scholars and Ulema she added, “instead of supporting the just cause of Kashmir and pressing India to leave its forced occupation of Kashmir, it is astonishing to see them discouraging the victims by suggesting a surrender and making them agree to live under India’s slavery.”

Aasiya Andrabi noticed that it is not for the first time when “Kashmiris are being threatened by India’s might or are being lured by money and so called progress but India has been unsuccessfully busy doing so for about seven decades”.

“Let India or its stooges not try to threaten us or lure us because our movement is just and above all the worldly things, India has always been trying to threaten or buy us but failed always and will continue to fail in such endeavours even if they engage any big party or leader not to talk of small and insignificant people like Ajaz Aslam,” she said and added that Ejaz doesn’t even qualify to be reacted upon “but sometimes it becomes necessary to put things in record and show a mirror to the people who misunderstand themselves to be something big and poke their nose in big matters.”
