Strategy to Counter RSS Agenda in Offing: Geelani says, ‘Telecommunications Lifeline, can’t be Choked’

In a bid to put lid over the RSS agenda in Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Sunday said a pro-longed strategy will be adopted and implemented in near future.

In a convention of Hurriyat (G) which witnessed the participation of various religious, social and political organizations including civil society members, a threadbare discussion over RSS’s entry in Kashmir and Jammu was held.

Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar told KNS that all the suggestions have been recorded and in near future a strategy in this regard will be implemented.

Geelani is his address to the convention said that RSS agenda will never be allowed to be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and on every front same shall be opposed and foiled. He said that the first target of the RSS is the Jammu region wherein key positions are being accorded to the RSS men.

The Hurriyat (G) alleged maintained RSS is hell bent to change Kashmir’s demography and squeeze the majority into the minority one. “A counter strategy has to be implemented and for this all pro-freedom parties stand united. We all in one voice must resist and oppose RSS agenda,” Geelani said.

Training guns against chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, he alleged, “Mufti has surrendered before Nagpur and is busy in complying in whatever orders come from the RSS.  His claims that he made in the past proved to be a mere hoax and that people here know now the true colours of Mufti Sayeed.”

Geelani also asked the UJC to probe about the background of Lashkar-e-Islam, saying such outfits are hell bent to defame Kashmir’s resistance movement. “Attacks on telecom towers and people associated with telecos is condemnable. Telecommunication has become a life line and cannot be choked in any way.”

The Hurriyat (G)  chairman said that though role of agencies cannot be rejected in recent attacks “particularly in view of Defence Minister Parkiar’s statement but at the same time Islamic State militants, TTP and this Lashkar-e-Islam take measures which only defame Islam and the values it sets for humanity.”

He claimed people here love Pakistan and would continue to hoists its flags besides raising slogans in its favour.

Separatist leaders Mohammad Ashraf Sehraie, Shabir Shah, Aga  Syed  Hassan, Ayaz Akbar, and all district presidents of Hurriyat (G) participated. From Jammu region Sartaj Sharief and Shahid Saleem marked their presence.  Kaerwani Islami’s Ghulam Rassol Hami, Sout ul Awliya’s engineer Farooq Atari were also present.

Miyan Abdul Qayoom, Ghulam Ali Gulzar, DAK representatives and students also participated in the convention, besides columnists and writers.
