Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Dr Raghuram Rajan flanked with state’s finance minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu Thursday flew to south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to access the flood losses.
The Governor during his Pulwama visit interacted with representatives of trade bodies and Self Help Groups.
Dr Rajan arrived in Kashmir early Thursday on his 2-day visit.
“The focus of the RBI Governor’s visit will be rehabilitation of flood-affected businesses and infrastructure in Kashmir,” the official spokesperson said.
Scheduled to meet the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Dr Rajan will be also interacting with the Administrative Secretaries and other officers of the State Government.
Later in a day RBI Governor is scheduled interact with bankers, representatives of trade, travel, hospitality sector, officials and students community at SKICC.
