An elderly man who was missing since 19th of previous month was found dead in Islamabad, a police statement said Saturday said.
“The body of a 70 year old man Mohammad Ramzan Chopan son of Fateh Mohammad Chopan resident of Reshipora Gawas was recovered from Sandran Nallah at Gawas, Islamabad. The said person was missing since 19-04-2015,” the statement said.
Police have registered a case to ascertain the cause of his death. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites, it said.
The statement added that seven persons were injured in different road accidents in the valley.
A Swift car bearing registration number JK02BF/7021 driven by Bachan Lal resident of Akhnoor, at present Khandoora Achabal hit and injured 02 pedestrians Shamus-u-Din Itoo resident of Nagam and Reyaz Ahmad Dar resident of Irkmoo at Bidder, Kokernag. Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment where from they were shifted to Srinagar hospital for further treatment. Kokernag police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata mobile bearing registration number JK05C/2693 hit and injured a lady Ameena resident of Jawalapora at Jawalapora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Budgam. The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
A Sumo bearing registration number 4185/JK03 skidded off the road at Batagund in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to 04 passengers boarding the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Bijbehara for treatment. Police have registered cases in this regard.
