The government Friday held a high level meeting of officials here, emphasizing for better facilities available at valley’s coaching centers along with mulling to impose ban on government teachers working in private coaching centers.
According to KNS, divisional commissioner Kashmir Asgar Samoon Friday held a meeting with the deputy commissioners, additional advocate general, director education, joint director education and others.
The meeting resolved that there must be an overall ban on the government teachers on teaching in private coaching centers besides ensuring the basic infrastructure available.
The meeting also discussed the installation of CCTV cameras outside and inside the centers so that the incidents of eve teasing could be avoided. It was resolved further there should be no over rush of students in the coaching centers and that proper seating arrangements must be made in such places.
Reports informed that 10 percent of quota must be made available for the poor students in a bid to provide them free education. The meet also emphasized over qualified teachers in coaching centers in Kashmir valley.
Pertinently, the high court here had earlier directed the state government over ensuring quality education in the government run schools.
