SRINAGAR
Dozens of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers marched and protested against the alleged “Maha Chore” comment of National Conference President and union minister Dr farooq Abdullah, Tuesday and burned his effigy in Regal Chowk Srinagar.
The PDP workers assembled in their party head office and marched towards Lal Chowk under the leadership of Khurshid Alam.
The porters raising slogans like “Farooq Bay Izzat Hay” and “Choron Ko Saray Nazar Atay Hein Chore” marched up to Regal Chowk were a large contingent of Police intercepted them.
Pertinently, NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah only a day before said that he never used the term “Maha Chore” for Kashmiris. “A section of media misquoted me,” Farooq clarified.
