An unidentified woman Monday jumped into Jhelum from Budshah Bridge Srinagar, but was rescued by valiant efforts of a youth.
Incident happened on Monday evening when a woman appeared on the bridge and jumped into the Jhelum much to the surprise of passers-by.
Upon seeing her jumping, a youth too jumped and swam his way to save the woman.
The woman after rescue was put at Maisuma Bund.
It was not immediately known what forced the woman to end her life by jumping into Jhelum.
