The education department has finally put the draft of the new transfer policy for teachers in public domain with the suggestions and comments being asked from general masses for its implementation.
According to the KNS, the draft of the transfer policy was uploaded on the official website of education department http://ift.tt/1TP0sNk. The government has invited comments and suggestions from all the stake holders and the suggestions as per the government order can be mailed at ds.jkedu@gmail.com.
The main contents of the policy mention that a married female teacher can be allowed for the inter-district transfer provided they have served five years of service in their respective districts/Divisions. “However, this would be subject to the availability of vacancies of department’s requirements,” reads the draft of the transfer policy.
It adds that to the extent possible, married lady officials with young children would be posted such that they can return back to their home after duty. “Subject to the availability of the post the official with the specially abled children would be posted at a place to his/her place of residence,” mentions of the draft.
Pertinently, the education minister Naeem Akhtar earlier had stated that the new transfer policy in the education department is in the offing and that same would be a teacher friendly one.
Meanwhile, sources stated that the policy will be implemented only after the suggestions are given to the concerned department by the stake holders.
