Police Thursday said that it have arrested a person along with a grenade from Nowgam area of Srinagar city outskirts.
A police official told GNS that acting on a specific information, Special Operation Group (SOG) of police raided at Nowgam area last evening and apprehended a person identified as Javid Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Aziz Rather of Awantipora.
“A Chinese hand grenade was recovered from his possession”, the official said.
He said that a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
