SRINAGAR
Dr. M. S. Sumbli, presently Director Convocation Complex University of Kashmir has been appointed as Special Secretary to the Vice Chancellor.
An order No: F (Spl .Sec.Vc-Gen.Adm) KU/15 dated May, 01, 2015 issued to this effect by the Registrar KU reads “In addition to his own duties, Dr M.S Sumbli, Director Convocation Complex shall function as Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, till further orders.”
A Doctorate in Kashmiri, Dr. Sumbli has served as Assistant Professor in the Post Graduate Department of Kashmiri before joining the University Administration in 2000.
He has served at key positions in University administration including that of Deputy Registrar and Deputy Controller before taking up this new assignment.
Dr Sumbli has also remained the President of Kashmir University Officers Association (KUOA) several times in the past.
Meanwhile a spokesperson of KUOA has expressed happiness over the appointment and hoped that in future also officials from University administration will be given a chance to serve at positions where they deserve to serve.
