SHOPIAN
An unidentified armed man fired upon a civilian in Shopian district on Friday however the civilian escaped unhurt.
The incident took place at Wandna Melehore, Shopian when an assailant fired upon 25-year-old Arshid Hussain Dar, son of Ab Rashid Dar of the same village three times with a pistol.
SP Shopian Altaf Ahmad Khan, while confirming the incident, said the assailant is still at large.
Meanwhile, a police party headed by local SHO has rushed to the spot and the manhunt has begun.
